About
Syracuse University has quickly emerged as a powerhouse in collegiate esports, earning Emerging Program of the Year honors from NACE and EsportsU Program of the Year from the Collegiate Sports Management Group — and capturing a national championship in Counter-Strike 2 in its first varsity season, now fielding six varsity teams in the Power Esports Conference. At the academic core is a first-of-its-kind esports communications and management degree offered through the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and the David B. Falk College of Sport, with tracks in Esports Business and Management, Esports Communications, and Esports Media and Design. The centerpiece of campus life is a state-of-the-art Gaming and Esports Center featuring an elevated competition stage, live-streaming cameras, large video boards, and a student broadcast production area.
