Ohio State leads collegiate esports through one of the most comprehensive programs to date, bringing together academics, collegiate competition, and multidisciplinary research under a campuswide collaboration. The Office of Student Life launched the Esports Arena in fall 2019, featuring dedicated areas for team practice and competition as well as a production studio where students can learn every role on a professional broadcast line. Spanning the Office of Student Life, the Wexner Medical Center, and several academic colleges, Ohio State's approach aims to give students unprecedented access to the video game industry — all while competing in the Power Esports Conference against the nation's top programs.
