About
The University of Nebraska–Lincoln's esports program is housed in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications and fields a team coached by faculty with a curriculum covering player development, content creation, esports business management, and career pathways in the gaming industry — with NFL veteran and Husker alum Ahman Green serving as the program's trailblazing first coach. Nebraska is now investing heavily in its future, with a new $1.6 million esports facility opening in the Nebraska Union to house the varsity team and support live event production, alongside a newly launched esports media and communications certificate program. The Huskers compete in the Power Esports Conference, representing the state of Nebraska on collegiate esports' biggest stage.
