About

KU Esports was formed in November 2019, offering both a varsity and club-level program at the University of Kansas, made possible through a partnership between KU Information Technology and Dell Technologies, with the KU Memorial Union providing ongoing program support and coaching. Today, the program fields 11 teams across five titles — including League of Legends, Overwatch 2, Rocket League, Valorant, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate — representing over 60 players. In 2024, Kansas joined seven other flagship universities to help form the Power Esports Conference, a league featuring exclusively high-profile institutions competing across fall and spring seasons and capped by an in-person championship.
